Creative Energy is a life-force that extends beyond physical boundaries and informs well-being and adaptation. Creative Energy has an intentionally that is not easily caged. That intentionality is felt, and exists beyond words. Experience, observation, sound, text all act in synthesis to inform that visualization. What manifests carries spontaneous impulses molded out from conjoined and enmeshed past, present and anticipated experience.
This method of visual expression has a Jungian association. Gestural markings create an emotional structure on the canvas, that are read as unconscious, or dreamlike in origin. Much as a child sees faces in clouds, the artist sees content within expressed markings as a guide toward compositional development. Each marking grows the image forward toward completion.
As in reality, completion is never understood as all-encompassing, rather it subsumes assertion within the unknown, and leaves questions masked and unasked. This is an honest, soulful practice that churns in turmoil, exuberation, and levels of incompleteness. Its intent is a query into being, through which one may learn to seek understanding and evolve insight.
